Casa Geranio offers a beautiful oasis right in the middle of Rio. The warm hospitality from the owners makes the experience feel personal and welcoming. The rooms are not only clean and stylish but also provide a comfortable retreat after long workdays. A major highlight is the breakfast, which includes homemade cakes, fresh smoothies, and a delightful selection of fresh fruit—all served beautifully with care and attention to detail.
The steep hill leading to the property may be difficult for some guests.

The amazing view from the hotel is simply breathtaking.
Getting to Casa Geranio was quite the challenge due to its steep hill. Even though it boasts an exclusive feel with only four rooms, the overall location seemed sketchy and uncomfortable, especially at night. I also found the furniture in our room quite uncomfortable, and the access issues made it hard to enjoy local dining options without a cab.

Just spent five nights at Casa Geranio, and I loved it! The breakfast outside with fresh juices and pastries was a highlight. The pool area was super relaxing. Staff was super helpful with local tips too. The neighborhood feels a bit rough, but the place itself is a peaceful oasis.

Casa Geranio is a real gem, if you enjoy cold showers and climbing a mountain just to fight off unwelcome visitors. I almost left a glowing review but the breathtaking view certainly didn’t make up for my lack of any complimentary gestures or help. High expectations? Absolutely. Basic comforts? Not so much.

Amazing views from the infinity pool and a lovely outdoor dining area. The breakfast was fresh and beautifully presented every day! And the attention to detail in design made the whole experience feel special.
The steep hill made it challenging to access the property and get around during rainy weather.
